How to Market Your Article to Thousands of Content Needy Webmasters

There are a number of different ways that you can effectively market your article.

The first way is to do it manually, which involves searching for web sites such as http://www.goarticles.com that allow you to post your articles for webmasters to use, once you have registered with them.

Most free submission sites are now requiring users to register and create a user account before they can use their article submission service.

If you would like an additional list of web sites and forums that will allow you to post your article on them, visit http://www.phase1.ws/articlesites.asp

Yes, marketing your article this way can be extremely tedious and time consuming, but it doesn't cost you any money upfront.

The second way is to go to www.automaticarticlemarketer.com and sign up for an account, where you can submit an unlimited number of articles to more than 30,000 people among different article announcement groups, targeted content sites and article directories.

This way does cost you a few dollars, but it will save you countless hours that could be better spent on things such as search engine optimization or writing more articles.

Another way to submit your article is to contact a webmaster who has an email list that may be interested in your article. You could offer him or her the chance to use your article as part of their regular newsletter, or you could break your article up into a few sections, giving a series of email messages instead.

This benefits the webmaster, as he or she doesn't have to come up with any content for the mail out, and it benefits you, as your web site will be getting exposed to all of the people on the webmaster's email list.

You could also use the information in your article to answer a question in a forum, or post a link to your article on a forum telling the person with the question exactly how your article will answer their question. Just be sure to obey all forum posting rules.

Regardless of where you post your article, make sure that the site you submit your article to is related to what your article is on.

Don't submit your article on "How to Grow Sunflowers" to an internet marketing article forum.

Along that same idea, be sure to post your article under the proper topic and section that relates specifically to your article.

Posting your article to unrelated web sites or under unrelated topics won't increase the number of webmasters who pick up and publish your article on their site.

Most often submitting your article to the wrong site or under the wrong topic will result in webmasters just skipping over it (as it isn't what they are looking for), but it may also result in your article getting dropped completely from the web site.

However, if you submit your articles properly, and to the right web sites, directories and forums, you will notice an amazing increase in the amount of sites linking back to your web site, as well as an increase in the amount of traffic coming to your web site.

And I'm sure you could always use a little more traffic or a few more backlinks to help your web site move up in its search engine rankings.

Researching Information To Develop Your Unique Content

We live in a sea of information. And information overload is an increasingly common complaint. Part of the complaint arises because we get hit with different headlines that point to the same content. So we waste time on things that have no added value. Bummer.

When you email your list or put up content on your site, and assuming you want to generate loyalty, it's necessary that you have content others haven't seen a dozen times elsewhere.

If this makes sense to you, here are some ideas you can use to EASILY generate fresh content with a minimal amount of time and effort.

First of all, think about a subject in which you are interested.

Let's say it's horticulture. Now if you're not aware of it, let me put you in the picture. Most people do web searches from Google's home page and stop there. Not at all creative. Not at all digging for information from which to develop original content.

So let's go exploring...

1 - Google has lots of tools besides just web searches. They let you check the news. (http://news.google.com) As of this writing, there are 1,680 news items listed by Google on the word horticulture. Bet you could easily do a summary of some of these articles and create your own content. But let's not stop there.

2 - Google also has "groups." (http://groups.google.com/) These are folks who like to discuss *your* subject. So now you can go even farther. Look up horticulture in their groups. Now this information is potentially gold. Why? Because you can see what it is about horticulture that lots of folks are interested in.

Think you might be able to do a little research and come up with a free or even a for-profit report that gives them what they want?

Check out Google's other tools, too. You can even get research info from universities through Google. Start here: http://www.google.com/intl/en/options/

3 - Next method: Do this search (keeping in the punctuation as written):

+horticulture +free +filetype:pdf

As of this writing, Google shows 196,000 hits for this query. What you get here are free downloads in pdf format about your subject.

Now you can't simply copy and use it as your own information. You have to create your writing in your own words. But there's no law that says you can't summarize what you find in other people's works. To make the point, you could even call your work something like: "Survey Report: Latest from the Horticulture Front!"

4 - Go to http://Alexa.com. Do a search on your subject, in this example, horticulture. It provides the exact same results as Google because it's powered by Google. So why bother, right? Wrong. Because Alexa *does* provide value added information.

When you do the search, you don't want to click the link that takes you to the listed site. Instead you want to follow the link that says "Site info." When you do this, you'll find a section called: "People who visit this page also visit." This can be very valuable because it potentially shows *what the marketplace is interested in.* This can enable you to tailor your information product to what people want.

These are just some of the easy ways to branch out your explorations and find gold to weave into golden braids.

How to Build a 1,000-Page Content Site in Mere Seconds!

How to Build a 1,000-Page Content Site in Mere Seconds!

Building an affiliate web site that sells between 5 and 20 products is relatively quick and easy to accomplish.

An experienced webmaster can put a site like 101Date.com, which has only 11 services, together in a day. Someone else might spend a week signing up for the programs, designing a template, and adding product information and affiliate links.

Spending a week or even a month on a site that delivers big rewards over the years is a relatively minor investment.

But how much time and effort is invested by affiliates who sell items like magazines, garden products, posters, t-shirts or lingerie? Or, how difficult would it be to place links to music CD's, or movie DVD's on your site? Merchants in those categories typically carry hundreds or even thousands of items.

Sure, a MoJoSounds.com affiliate might want to promote only adventure movies, but his state of mind might be a 'horror' by the time he's input more than 500 descriptions, links and graphics!

If the same affiliate planned to let his visitors know about the latest and greatest discounts by listing prices, would he ever get any sleep?

Sure he would!

By using the MoJoSounds.com product datafeed, that affiliate could build a 500+ item site in less than an hour. He could even build a 10,000 item site in less than an hour!

So what's a product datafeed?

A product datafeed is a spreadsheet or text file which typically lists product names along with their categories and subcategories, descriptions, coded affiliate links, product graphic image URL's, prices and even applicable keywords.

Affiliates can manipulate datafeeds in various ways to display content on their sites.

Those with programming knowledge may insert the feed into databases on their servers.

Other affiliates prefer to use dynamic web site templates that some merchants offer. These templates are completely customizable and the resulting site automatically updates itself.

One company that offers a dynamic web site template is ShareaSale merchant, Nature Hill's Nursery. Shawn at Nature Hills sent me a zipped package containing their template files, and I discovered that setting up a dynamic template on my site was incredibly easy to do!

Using my HTML editor, Homesite 5.0, I simply added my affiliate I.D. to the config.pl file, and uploaded the files to the /Nature-Hills/ directory that I created at Rosalinds.com. The site then looked and worked exactly like it does at the URL below, but with my affiliate ID coded into the links... all 1295 products!

Nature Hills' Template

After making a few design changes to the template, this is how it looks now at:

Rosalind's Nature Hill's site

Unfortunately, dynamic templates generally work only on servers running PHP and MYSQL. However, affiliates whose hosts do not run PHP and MYSQL can still profit from product datafeeds by building static pages on their computer using Richard Gaskin's WebMerge.

Here is a site that I built using a 593-product datafeed from Candy Crate (another ShareaSale merchant), Webmerge, and the same template that I used for the Nature Hills site:

Rosalind's Candy Crate Site (http://rosalinds.com/CandyCrate/)

I'm terrible at reading instructions, so Webmerge posed a bit of a challenge for me to use at first. However, after reading the tutorials, asking Richard a few questions, and spending some time on the Datafeeds forum at ABestWeb.com, the software was easy to figure out.

Now, with a site standard template and Webmerge files, I can build a 10, 20 or 30,000 product site in mere seconds with the push of a button.

So, to save time and make more sales, be on the lookout for merchants with product datafeeds. My daddy always said, 'Work smarter, not harder', and affiliate marketing doesn't get much smarter or easier than this.

10 Ways of Getting Content For Your Site Part 1

Content is really important for webmasters. Why? When people surf the web, they are looking for information. They aren't looking for you specifically, unless you're well-known. If they visit your site and don't what they're looking for, they will leave quickly. And they probably won't return to your site. Well, they might stumble back onto your site, but not on purpose.

Quality sites provide quality content. Quality content helps you retain visitors. Visitors may spread the word about your site and thus attract new visitors.

Adding new high quality content to your site regularly is also beneficial. With more content, you will have more pages indexed by the search engines. More pages indexed means you will have more opportunities for people to find you via search engines.

So how exactly do you get content for your site?

1. Your unique knowledge

Everybody knows something others don't. Use your own unique insight and knowledge to provide content. Think of what activities you've participated in the past. Think of what you've learned through past experiences. Any experiences can help, whether at home, school, work, or anywhere else. Of course, providing your own content regularly can be very difficult.

2. Personal stories

Personal stories are the basis of some sites and blogs. Want to connect with your audience and let them know more about you? Use personal stories. However, if you don't want to be too personal, make sure you inject your personality into your writing. Personality differentiates you from the rest and can keep visitors coming back.

3. How-to guides

People have problems and like to figure out how to solve them. Had some problem you struggled with for a while? Did you eventually solve it? The way you solved it could be written into a how-to guide. Or write a how-to guide about your expert area. For example, if you're a technical computer whiz, you could write a how-to guide for fixing computers.

4. Do research

Do some research on the web. Use search engines, search directories, and follow links to find relevant sites. Do some research at your local library. Grab some books about your site's topic and start digging through them. Find local experts, teachers, and professors and ask them questions about your site's topic. When you research, note down interesting ideas and you'll undoubtedly learn more. You'll have more unique knowledge that you can turn into content. You might even discover something earth-shattering!

5. Subscribe to newsletters

Good newsletters are a great way to keep informed about a particular topic. They can keep you informed of offers that you may be able to provide on your own site. As well, they can keep you on top of what's happening in your area by providing time-sensitive content.

Which Content Should You Get Rid Of In Your Sales Copy!

One of the most frustrating things you'll need to deal with when you're writing sales copy is struggling to figure out what copy you should "keep" because it's benefitting you and helping you make sales, and what copy to eliminate.

And the truth is, sometimes it's a difficult choice and not easy to decide. Today we'll take a look at the fifth paragraph of our mock display ad and hopefully make things easier for you.

You can check out that original ad, and even print out a copy of it, right here:

http://www.kingofcopy.com/tips/real_estate_ad_071505.htm

The fifth paragraph says, "My team is highly profitable and unmatched in success. Because of our unique system we outsold 96% of all the agents from any company across the Greater Tampa Bay Area."

Again, the writer keeps talking about HIS team and how well THEY'RE doing.

But if you want to boost your response to this ad, what you need to do is emphasize the benefits of responding, to your prospects.

What's in it for the buyer?

How can they benefit?

And why should they even continue reading, let alone buy?

In this case, we've already got enough informtion going for us, that I'd delete this paragraph entirely, and just close with a call to action in the last paragraph.

And we'll do exactly that, tomorrow.

Tomorrow we'll close out this mock ad and you'll get to see a compelling offer.

Now go sell something,

Blogging Market Share - I am going to bet that you are not one of the richest people in the world. As a matter of fact, you are probably an average guy or gal who works 40+ hours a week (making money for someone else) and when all the bills are paid, you have very little left to show for it. How do I know this? This describes just about everyone who starts trying to make money online.

Website Content - Blogs and blogging are sweeping the internet. They are all the rage as a hobby, writing exercise, and even a career for some. In fact, it is even becoming more common that bloggers are seeking a way to make money. Be it via advertising or affiliations, they each have their own way of pursuing that writing career by way of the blog. There is another way, though.

Web Content - You may not realize this, but webmasters have more control over users than you may think. To be more specific, you can direct where a user looks on their screen with 100% accuracy. For web sites that depend upon advertising revenue, we can do this by controlling four main aspects of the web site design.

Content Copywriting - Since the beginning, you've been told that "Content Is King" but there are so many web site owners - who have been trying to win the search engine battles - ignore the rules and try to be 'smart'.

News Feeds - Blogs and RSS feeds are a sure-fire way to get your web site off the dirt roads of cyberspace and onto the Internet superhighway! Think about it. Has your web traffic been slow and bumpy? Then maybe it's time to try a new route.

Relevant Content Writing - Content writing is an art of striking a perfect balance of targeted web content and the targeted audience. Ultimately this balance helps in overall enhancement of web business. Once you have got the web site designed the next task on the cards is to include proper content writing. The main aim of content writing is to establish solid relation between targeted web content and corresponding increase in web business.

Content Hungry - 1. One of the best ways to generate no cost traffic is by submitting ready-made articles to "content hungry" web-site and newsletter publishers with your "resource box" attached. A resource box is nothing more than a little 3-6 line "bio" about you and/or your web-site - including a link to your site (or even instructions on how to subscribe to your newsletter)...

Low Traffic Blogging - If only the millions of people currently blogging could understand that they do not need high traffic to make money, it would make a huge difference. But first and foremost, it is important to understand that you will need to completely change your approach. The whole idea is that there is stuff that is best suited only to high traffic sites, just like there are things that work best work with low traffic sites only.

Web Content Writing - Copywriting has again transcended from its usual form and practices into the new internet era; Copywriting as utilized by the Professional SEO business is also known as Internet Content Writing, Web Content Writing, amongst other terms.
