Using E-mails for Article Content

Perhaps you are an online article author and post your online articles at an online article submission web site? If so the chances are you were always looking for new material to write about. Finding new material to write about is sometimes the hardest part. May I suggest to you the thought that you can use your e-mails and online conversations as article content to help propel the number of articles you write and what online?

Since I started writing articles online just under 18 months ago, I have in retirement written online articles some 7900 to day, all time leading article writer, I have turned my answers to comments and e-mails into articles without using the other party's name and of course using no names of companies. I do this with nearly all my online correspondence to propel thoughts.

4 Ways to Add Content to Your Website

Webmasters have often argued that the path to better search engine visibility lies in generating more and more contents. The argument goes that a web site having a big amount of contents will, in the eyes of search engines, be considered as an authority on the concerned subject. It will therefore stand better chance of ranking high in search results.

While this theory does have many proponents – including me – what becomes difficult is how to translate it into actual practice. A commercial web site has to keep an eye on generating revenues, which means that each component of its expenditure needs to match commensurate measurable return in order to justify it. Since writing content is usually not able to generate quick revenue, many companies dither to justify spending valuable resources only for writing contents – often to their peril.

How can the problem be overcome? Does adding content come cheap? Let us look at some possible scenarios.

Start a Blog

That’s it for how I make money blogging

Blogs, or weblogs, made their mark more as personal diaries, but that is an old story. Today, in most cases, the flavor has firmly shifted away from simple frivolous accounts to serious entries. People have recognized that blogging is a handy tool to multiply contents steadily. No wonder, weblog software is rather referred to as content management system. Nucleus CMS and Wordpress are good examples of weblog application software where a blogger (or, shall I say content writer) does not need to bother with the nitty-gritty of the tool, but rather concentrate on exploring his or her literary capabilities.

The advantage with blogging is that it is possible to pack each weblog -post with keywords that are relevant to web site. If you don’t feel constrained by the notion that you must post fresh weblog -entries everyday in order to remain in reckoning, blogging can be very helpful. Post one or two entries a week, but try to give them a unique twist by thinking aloud your take on a given subject. You may not beat the usual path, but your writing must be easy to follow and contain some useful information.

But suppose you don’t write yourself. In which case, why not hire a weblog writer who’ll do your honors as you want him to? A weblog writer is relatively inexpensive, and perhaps you may need one only part-time, which is a good ploy since it will not be a big drain on your resources.

Start a Forum

A forum is another useful way to add fresh contents to your web site. Forum contents are mostly short comments from participants, but what is noteworthy is that each comment has a unique tale, coming as it does from an individual member-participant. Lively forums are a great source of information, and this is the reason why every web enthusiast is likely to take active part in a number of forums of interest to him/her.

It is not uncommon to find top search results drawn from forum comments. Since forum comments are hardly optimized for search engines, yet add unique value to the topic on hand, it shows that a properly maintained forum can indeed be of great value to a web site.

The downside of a forum is that you need one or two very capable administrators, who have it in them to popularize and monitor the forum. Administrators don’t come cheap, which in turn means that to make your forum successful, it may prove quite costly in the short to medium term.

Source Articles

This is the cheapest and perhaps the most popular way to add contents to your web site. There is no dearth of article writers, and some are really good. There are hundreds of article directories that store thousands of articles, which can be downloaded and added to your site. If you do not mind crediting article-authors through links from your site, this is undoubtedly the best solution.

What are the downsides? First, hardly any article that you source is optimized for your web site. Second, since the copyright rests with the article-author, you cannot tamper an outsourced article to suit your need. And third, you must constantly look out for good articles. This is very time-consuming. Why? Because there are so many articles coming out every minute (like this one), that it is a daunting task to sift through them and pick the right choice. And do it every other day. I know as I’m in it for a long time.

Hire Content Writer

This brings me to the last option for adding contents. If you want to have relevant content for your web site, something that is unique and owned by you, the only viable option is to hire competent content writer. What are the advantages?

First, you’ll have and continue to have keyword-rich contents for your web site. Second, since you are paying for the contents, you own exclusive rights over them, no questions asked. Third, you are completely freed from bothering about adding contents yourself. Instead, you are able to concentrate on your core business. Fourth, content writers are not expensive when compared to paying for in-house expertise. A typical expert writer is expected to charge about 20 to 25 cents per word for medium-sized articles (600 words thereabout). For long-term contracts stretching over 3 to 6 months, it is usually possible to negotiate lesser price.

Thus, in terms of cost involved, while free articles will be the cheapest, the next ones will be weblog writer, content writer and forum administrator.

Conclusion

While it goes without saying that content – and lots of it – is increasingly becoming the lifeline of any web site, many web site owners haven’t felt it important to work out long-term strategy to meet its necessity. For many, it’s a constant shuttling from one option to another, not quite justifying why one is better than the other. If there is no valid reason, then to postpone a decision on content addition is a bad decision itself. The early web site owners wake up to this stark reality, the better it is for their web sites’ future. For, if not today, tomorrow it must be for you to decide how can you add content to your web site.

Relevant Content Writing

Content writing is an art of striking a perfect balance of targeted web content and the targeted audience. Ultimately this balance helps in overall enhancement of web business. Once you have got the web site designed the next task on the cards is to include proper content writing. The main aim of content writing is to establish solid relation between targeted web content and corresponding increase in web business. Thus, it won’t be wrong to say that content writing has direct relevance with the central theme of web site. It clearly demarcates the loopholes between the extremities of a loosely-focused content and one that is too tightly focused. Each and every web site stands on two solid pillars that are attracting traffic and conversion to sale. Thus, it is essential to have proper content writing effectively addressing at least one of the two, but preferably both depending on type of web business.

But in order to understand the real relevance of content writing lets take an example of two web sites preferably travel-related sites. First, web site is of a travel agency whose business is to sell tour packages to interested tourists. The web site carries pictures and pictorial description of various places. Also it narrates the prime landmarks to visit in each destination, dealing briefly on historical events associated with each. Apart from that it also focuses on tour packages, stressing on benefits in terms of cost and service vis-à-vis other agencies. In short the web site contains everything an online viewer look for. Furthermore, the content written is more tilted toward conversion to sale while attempting to attract traffic.

Whereas the second travel web site is mainly operated by a travel infopreneur. He also deals on same geographical area as that of travel agency's. Still that travel agency deals in tour packages and the infopreneur simply provides lot of information about the place. So what can be the content writing tricks for him? The infopreneur’s web site need to have loads of relevant content writing that too updated time to time. Also his web site should include such details like the people who inhabit the place, their culture, the local art and crafts, and so on. Thus, the crux is that content writing differs according to central theme of web site as well as nature of web business.

Both are the travel web sites but carry different theme thus, relevant content writing should be done as per the theme of the web site. The central theme of the web site should be kept in mind while content writing which is very important. It is only then you can reap maximum benefits out of it.
