Dilemmas in Online Article Authoring and Controlling Content

If you are like most online article authors and then you know the best way to get your articles online and out into distribution is to use a very well trafficked online article submission web sites. Other web site owners will pick up the content for their web site and leave the byline with the links to your web site on the bottom of the articles. E-zines or electronic newsletters will also pick up the content and e-mail it to all their subscription lists.

This is all well and good except what happens when someone puts your article on a web site, which is full of porno links? Recently, someone had borrowed some of my articles and placed them onto a web site, which had pornography links.

I asked them to remove the articles and they did, but it was only by chance that I even noticed that the articles that I wrote were on the site in the first place. Unfortunately as an online article author I cannot control everywhere that my articles go to and that does concern me a bit.

If you are an online article author you are probably interested in controlling your content as well. And how can you know that a web site owner with your content on it will not change the web site later and put on pornography links? In my particular situation the owner of the web site claimed to be a wonderful Christian and speaks very highly of his fellow Christians and Christianity in general and yet has pornography links on his web site.

I thought I could trust this guy because he was a Christian and although he did remove the articles when asked, I was blown away by the hypocrisy. The reason I mention this is so that you as an online article author will be concerned with who gets a hold of your content and not necessarily just trust anybody. Please consider this in 2006.

Website Owners Using Free Article Content Often Complain of Article Authors

As an article author with 46,000 article captures from Ezines and web sites, many publishers use my articles as content and I am amazed and the level of condemnation that these folks give about the online content available at online article submission sites. Why? Well, not because I completely disagree with all of their complaints, some are actually reasonable observations of the way things are and yet if the content is relatively inexpensive thru syndication or even free then why are they complaining at all?

Additionally, very few of these folks are completely legitimate themselves in their own endeavors. One web site owner said that he felt to many of the high output online article authors put out too much crap. This is interesting indeed, as I am a high content article author and I found my articles on this gentlemans web site?

Further I found questionable content I care not to be associated with on his web site also. I find this problematic and I think such hypocrisy of telling us how some article authors ruin the Internet article online submission site categories and then having porno links on his web sites where the directed traffic goes to for his own articles is wrong. And well, I just do not appreciate the attacks on my fellow authors and then this display of filth. Consider this in 2006.
